KGFS signs MoU with UP Milk Producer Company to help women dairy farmers

Dwar Regional Rural Financial Services (Dwar KGFS), an NBFC operating in the financial inclusion sector of India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shri Baba Gorakhnath Krupa Milk Producer Company of Uttar Pradesh.

This MoU enables KGFS to leverage and monetize approximately 80,000 liters of milk collected daily by Shri Baba Gorakhnath Krupa Milk Producer Company. It also allows the company to expand its financial services to other dairy farming families as well as to approximately 44,000 women dairy farmers.

The initiative marks the launch of KGFS’s Dairy Value Chain product line, a structured financing approach that supports dairy farmers across the entire value chain, from cattle care and milk production to centralized milk collection and stable income generation, a media statement said. It said that by working together, Dwar KGFS can provide more accurate income assessment and customized financial solutions to dairy farmers across Uttar Pradesh.

Women-led dairy livelihoods

Quoting Rahul Tripathi, Chief Product Officer, KGFS, the statement said: “This partnership is an important milestone in our efforts to strengthen women-led dairy livelihoods. By combining increased market access with customized financial solutions, we aim to help more rural families in the Uttar Pradesh region achieve long-term income sustainability.”

Neeraj, Chairperson, Shri Baba Gorakhnath Krupa Milk Producer Company, said: “Our collaboration with KGFS will strengthen the support system for women dairy farmers in Gorakhpur division. By establishing an institutional framework at the village level and ensuring year-round market access for their milk, we are helping these women create sustainable livelihoods, increase their economic independence, and create long-term economic security for their families.”
